Terms and Conditions

  1. Individual participation in the entire course is mandatory. Certification and Continuing Education Unit (CEU) credit (if applicable) will only be awarded upon full completion of all course components. Participants who do not complete the course are not eligible for certification, CEU credit (if applicable), or a refund of any fees paid.
  2. The organizers reserve the right to cancel or reschedule the in-person course as they deem necessary due to low enrolment, unforeseen circumstances, or other reasons. All registered participants shall be notified accordingly via whatsapp or email. The organizers will provide participants with choice of a refund of their registration fee or enrolment in the Online Training & Certification course. The organizers assume no responsibility for any expenses incurred by participants as a result of cancellations, including travel or accommodation costs.

Indemnity & Liability Waiver

LSVT BIG® Clinician Workshop – Malaysia

By registering for and attending the LSVT BIG® Workshop (“Workshop”), I agree to the following:

  1. Professional Participation

I acknowledge that this Workshop is designed for qualified physiotherapy or occupational therapy professionals. I confirm that I am appropriately trained, licensed, or credentialed within my jurisdiction to participate in this professional educational program.

  1. Assumption of Risk

I understand that the Workshop may include practical demonstrations and physical participation in therapeutic movement techniques associated with the LSVT BIG® program. I acknowledge that participation may involve inherent risks, including but not limited to musculoskeletal strain, falls, or other injury.

I voluntarily assume full responsibility for any personal injury, loss, or damage sustained during or arising from my participation.

  1. No Medical or Clinical Liability

I acknowledge that the Workshop is provided for educational purposes only. Any clinical application of techniques learned is undertaken at my own professional discretion and risk. I remain solely responsible for my clinical decision-making, patient care, and compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and professional standards in my jurisdiction.

  1. Release and Indemnity

To the fullest extent permitted under the laws of Malaysia, I hereby release and discharge Kuching Parkinsons Society (KPS) and Laila Stroke Care Centre (LSCC), its directors, officers, employees, contractors, representatives, venue providers, and affiliates from any and all claims, liabilities, demands, damages, losses, costs, or expenses (including legal fees) arising out of or in connection with:

  • My participation in the Workshop;
  • Any injury, loss, or damage sustained during the Workshop;
  • Any subsequent use or application of the knowledge or techniques obtained.

I further agree to indemnify and hold harmless Kuching Parkinsons Society (KPS) and Laila Stroke Care Centre (LSCC),  against any third-party claims, liabilities, damages, or expenses arising from my negligent or improper application of the material taught during the Workshop.

  1. Health Declaration

I confirm that I am physically fit to participate in practical components of the Workshop and will inform the organisers of any medical condition that may affect my safe participation.

  1. Emergency Medical Treatment

In the event of an emergency, I authorise the organisers to obtain medical treatment on my behalf if necessary. I acknowledge that any associated costs shall be my responsibility.

  1. Intellectual Property

All Workshop materials remain the intellectual property of the respective rights holders. Materials may not be reproduced, distributed, recorded, or used for commercial training purposes without prior written consent from the copyright holder.

  1. Governing Law

This Agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Malaysia. Any disputes arising in connection with this Agreement shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Malaysia.
